Tidbits: Writing Character

Character from Reality: Louise Fletcher (Sunday, September 25, 2022)

She learned to speak at 8, won an Oscar for her villainy and probably was the first person to do sign language at the Oscar ceremony for her parents.
-------------------

Not everything is about color, more is about gender scripts (women should be nice, quiet, compliant), overcoming handicaps (women should stay home with kids and lose time in their careers) or you said her parents were both death not that she didn't learn to properly speak until she was 8!

These tidbits from her life can be added to any color of character, and if you add historical time, what changes? Is there sign language? If you can't speak by age 8 are you doomed to be perceived and treated as...?

You played a top villain in something that scared everyone because it was a necessary great thing in that moment, how does it taint, help, hurt your life when there is more to life than those few moments of villainy?
